She's home......

Just when I had got myself settled last night, thinking some time with just Harri and Nev might be a really good thing, the phone rang. It was Ellie's teacher saying Ellie had a tummy ache and what did I want to do. "I'll come get her" I said with a slight element of "hooray she's mine again". Of course when I got to school and saw my little girl snuggled up on my friend Nina's lap, I was overcome with guilt (great, now I've got guilt) at wanting to keep my little girl home with me.
Jungle Camp looked amazing. It would have been so much fun for Ellie, but here she was with a sore tummy and just wanting to come home. And all I wanted right then, was for her not to have a sore tummy and be bouncing around with all her friends, and to not be taking her home with me. (I know - so fickle right!)
We slowly packed her bed up (remembering every last one of the pink fuzzy creatures that go to bed with her) and brought her home.

When we got home she climbed into her Daddy's lap and said "can I sleep in your bed with Mummy please Daddy". I nearly cried. She's still our LITTLE girl.

Wow what a roller coaster on emotions for one day. Poor Ellie I hope she feels better soon.
Is that Ellie in the photo? How old is she there?
