Get outta here.......

My husband, my hero.

He is taking some time off work and sending me away for five days. Five! Whole! Days! I have never been away from Nev and the kids for longer than two nights - ever!

"You've worked so hard this year babe," he tells me.

I will certainly not argue with him on that one.

So I am boarding a plane and going home to South Australia to catch up with my sister, niece and nephew and my Mum and Dad.

I am so excited I think I may throw up!

Of course there's every chance that I'll be completely lost without my kids being around all the time. I will probably stop random strangers and push their hair off their foreheads, tell them to stand up straight or tuck in a stray shirt......

But promises of marathon "Singstar" concerts, bottles of wine at Barossa Valley and big city culture, will I am sure, get me through those moments of missing my family so much it will physically hurt.

Sigh. Well, you know, someone has to do it...........

I'm sure I would be extremely creeped out if an eerie-looking person came up to me and barked , "Hey! Tuck your shirt in!"

When my kids were still little, I went to a meeting at work and just managed to catch myself before I moved my boss's glass of water away from the table edge. As long as you watch yourself, you'll be fine!

MSN makes thingsa lot easier, too. Hope you have lots of fun!

You have an awesome time away in the big smoke! Have a Krispy Kreme for me! Don't forget the extra suitcase to bring that vintage Barossa drop home - you'll need it to put into the yummy dinners you'll cook when you get home - you also might need it to wash down the sourdough bread whilst wearing your apron! I heart Bambi!
Love to you and yours! xxx
