Fickle?......

Am I fickle or just indecisive?? This is a serious question that I am faced with in the harshest kind of reality every time I open my blog these days. I look at my blog background and I just can't decide if changing it was ever a good decision.

I was quite happy with the look it used to have (do you remember the brown and purple with the evergreen daisies down the side?), but then I was struck with the plethora (love that word!!) of choices out there, and the question of whether or not I shouldn't have a new look any time I felt like it. I mean, WHY should I have the same old thing. No reason right!

But then again, it's a good thing to be constant, reliable, unchanging etc. It keeps things simple. It's expected, it's solid, it's grown up and.........boring maybe? I just don't know anymore.

I do know that the day I decided to change the background, I was in that kind of mood. You know the mood - nothing is going quite right so if I change everything, it will all be so much better. Right!

It was harder than I expected. Not only did I actually have to choose the background, I had to change the text colour and the link colour and the border colour, which then in turn meant that the text style and size needed to be changed and the "blogs I read" section had to be updated etc, etc...... was there no end to it all. By the time I finished, I was exhausted. And I didn't particularly like the new look anyway. Honestly.....

I think this new look has kept me from blogging too. It was like there was some kind of weird mental blog "block" every time I sat down to post. My blogging was seriously in a depression. It wasn't happy with the way things looked and decided to shut down until I made myself face up to my actions and take the consequences like a good blogger should! Maybe I'll just change everything back to the way it was. Then maybe my blogging ideas will run thick and fast and every post will be an absolutely, fascinating, 'can't-stop-reading' kind of post.

I mean, it's not like there isn't anything to blog about. My life is full of fascinating and exciting adventures. Like..............................hmmmm.
