All that glitters, is not always gold.....

One of Ellie's favourite books is called "Fancy Nancy" - all about a little girl who is always turning plain things into fancy things - including her bedroom and her family!. She also like to speak french because it sounds so much fancier. It's a great read, and one that I'm sure most little girls - especially ones who like to decorate things - would love. Every time we read this particular book, I can literally see the gears in Ellie's head go into overtime, "what can I make fancy?" (literal translation - what can I cover in glitter?).

Seeing as we didn't have any particular art project on the go, Ellie decided she would do a "Fancy Nancy" and make her very own 'fancy prancing slippers'. We picked up these little pink shoes for $4.60 at Crazy Clarks......

and this is what she did to them......

I'm sure there is a market out there for this sort of thing......

Oh I love Harri and the words that come from his mouth, he has such a way with words!
And Ellie, I love the shoes... I wear a size 8 and was wondering if I could order a pair?
