We have all had the most wonderful day today. I'm not sure if it was because it was Father's Day or some other reason, but we all really enjoyed ourselves. It's always nice to make someone else feel special and I'm pretty sure Nev did feel like a King today. It all started with pressies (a sure-fire recipe to make someone feel special) - Ellie had been madly making things all week - and even Harri sat down long enough to make a card. And then we had "buggerlugs breakfast" - eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toasted rolls and fresh orange juice. (I could literally see Nev beating on his chest and wanting to call me "woman".) Church was special too - Nev played his guitar - and Gwen talked to the kids about the story of the Prodigal Son and then expanded on it for her sermon. It was all about seeking the heart of God and emulating it ourselves. Very thought provoking. After a very relaxed lunch we hauled ourselves off to the local heated pool and just mucked about for an hour and a half. Baths, hair washes and everyone's favourite meal by candlelight. SO nice!!!! Nev said later that he wished we could have today, tomorrow as well. I know just what he meant. We were all thoroughly content just to be together and it seems like it has been a while since we have felt that way. But when you get right down to it, that's what family is all about - just being content together and with each other. Happy King Daddy day Nev - we love you. You are the best father, the best husband and the best friend and you look gorgeous in that pink tiara!!!
